The video that I have decided to make is based on the idea of “isolation” and mental health problems. I decided to take on the idea of how ones mental health problems can metaphorically isolate them and seemingly drive them away from other people. I decided to also show the feeling of being trapped or feeling like you’re trapped amongst everything, by associating that with being taken away, locked away and the idea of “police” coming after the character in my video. 

 

The idea of the voice in the background of my video is associated with the girl’s mind playing up, having ideas and words put into her head by others, as well as her overthinking and over analysing things herself. I used a lot of what I put into the video, based off of feelings I had experienced myself and typical emotions expected in lockdown. 

 

The hiding from the police, as shown in the video when doing the monologue, is to show fear and how we tend to run away from our problems all too often.
